The Set color component assigns color to the selected flowchart variables. When these variables are displayed in the Print Template in the course of the Report execution, the printed fields acquire the color assigned to the variable. Set color component assignments override the default colors of fields set in the Print Templates.

To use the Set color component, follow these simple instructions:

  1. Load the Set color component into the Workspace (drag Set color icon from Palette):

  2. Populate the Set color component with variables from the Report Procedure:

  1. Use Inspector to assign color to the Set color component's variables:

This brings up the Color Selector panel:

  1. Select and set the color. The variables in Set color are now shown in the selected color:

The following is an example of use of Set color in a flowchart setting:

Here, variables Names.[ID #] and Names.Relationship are fed into the print template AddressList. If the given item has a birthdate (Names.Birthdate field is not empty), then the fields are displayed in color; otherwise they are shown in black.
